Visits
Bob and Judy Weimeyer from Etna visited in February, they shared with us the ministry of Global Mapping International
Dennis Wiens of SAT-7 visited in March; he shared with us the vision and mission of SAT-7. SAT-7’s missions is to provide the churches and Christians of the Middle East and North Africa an opportunity to witness to Jesus Christ through inspirational, informative, and educational television services.
Faye Prindle visited us and other supporters in the area as she was heading to Guadalajara, Mexico. Faye was transitioning her ministry focus from Bolivia to Guadalajara.
Ed and Glenna Houston were able to visit us for three weeks in August. They were featured as our Vacation Bible School missionaries and Ed also preached in our Sunday service.

Joe and Bev Bushelman visited with us in November and shared their ministry with Campus Crusade.
Dan and Linda Grocott with New Tribes Missions
visited with us in December. The
Grocott’s left Venezuela this year due to Venezuelan orders to have
missionaries leave the tribal areas. Dan
and Linda are also in a time of transition.
Dan preached during our Sunday service.
John and Debbie Wetzig traveled to India from 3/18 to 4/7 to support the ongoing 300-in-3 Berean Indian Project. 300-in-3 is the vision of the Berean Fellowship in partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ to recruit, train, launch and support 300 pastors in India in 3 years. John and Debbie’s role in this trip was to minister to the pastors and their wives. John also spoke at two graduation ceremonies.
Claire Hervieux went to Maun, Botswana 6/12 to 7/8 with Teen Mania of Global Expeditions. Her team partnered with Samaritan’s Purse in ministering and handing out gift boxes to children. Claire also had a village and hut-to-hut ministry.
Jill Wetzig traveled to Uganda from 6/12 to 6/30. She went with a group her church in Portland (Lake Bible Church), partnering with Good Samaritan Ministries. They visited several schools and orphanages, teaming up with locals to rebuild classroom floors and teach the students.
Michael Gardner was part of a construction crew to Ensenada, Mexico.
Hannah Hervieux went with Teen Mania’s Global Expeditions to Chiang Mai, Thailand from 12/27/06 to 1/9/07. This trip was part of Hannah’s senior project at Weed High School. Her team did hut-to-hut ministry as well as prayer walks throughout Thailand and Burma.
Laura Bach began preparation for a Young Continentals
trip which includes songs and choreographed movements to evangelize.
This trip is planned for 2/22/07 to 4/19/07.
January 6th we had a variety show/roast on John Wetzig’s birthday in support of the India trip.
May 6th we had a Yard sale to support Jill Wetzig’s trip to Uganda and Claire Hervieux’s trip to Botswana. We also put on a Mother’s Day brunch to support these trips.
Our young Sunday school has supported the India project
which John and Debbie Wetzig went on, the
Botswana trip which Claire Hervieux went on, the Uganga trip which Jill Wetzig
went on, Samaritans Purse Christmas gift project, and Christmas gifts for the
Bushelmans’ children.
For the 2007 budget year the Missions Committee proposed a
10% raise for our Missionaries, which was approved by the board.
People to People – Faith to Faith was the title of our October 27-29 Missions Symposium. Ted and Judy Olson were our keynote speakers and Joel and Virginia Cook also spoke. Ted and Judy shared with us their work and ministry over the years with DAWN. Ministries. Joel and Virginia Cook are missionaries with AWANA in Northern California and Nevada.
Both couples shared with us their testimonies and God’s calling on their life to Missions work. They also shared with us some of the struggles of their lives and God’s faithfulness.
