Prayer Chain
Judee Warner heads up this vital ministry. Prayer Chain members sign an agreement about passing on requests to keep them correct and confidential.
Monthly Men’s Breakfasts – This is headed up by John Key. They meet on the second Saturday of each month and have anywhere from 10 to 25 men in attendance. They generally have one of the men share their testimony or speak on a topic that the Lord gives them.
Weekly Men’s Breakfast Bible Study. On Thursday mornings, men are welcome to attend a breakfast and Bible Study at the Purple Plum. This has been a great time of fellowship, study and prayer.
Men’s Retreat – About 35 men, young men and boys spent a weekend at Orr Lake on a retreat. Different men from our church spoke at the devotional times. They also enjoyed fishing, wilderness golf, horseshoe golf and 4-wheeling.
One of the ministries that our church has is to provide dinners or receptions after funeral or memorial services. This has been a blessing to the bereaved families and to those in attendance. LaVerne Brown headed up this ministry in 2006.
Ken and LaVerne Brown head up this vital ministry. They put out a bi-monthly newsletter for this age group. They also have initiated many fun events and fellowship times, including a Christmas party in December.
These three agencies are available for those in need of some extra assistance. We help with food, gas, and other needs. All of the resources come from donations by God’s people. Ken and LaVerne Brown head up the Food Pantry. Susan Erhard has organized our holiday baskets. Thank you so much for your contributions to this!
