Week of 7/5/26, Jr Bible Camp, Hosting Kidder Staff and a Song

Dear Church Family,
I was so blessed to see and hear so many of you gathered to praise our Savior together Sunday morning! And the gathering for shared food and baptisms at the picnic was also so special, not just to me, but I trust to our Savior. I know he loves it when we come together. Church, I pray we all grow in understanding the beauty of coming together and sharing life and worship of the One who is worthy of every moment of our lives!

I was thankful for John's excellent message on Jesus' battle for us in the Garden. I think in terms of songs and this song was in my head during the message as it so beautifully brings some of John's points home.

Please pray for our crew of adult staff, counselors, and campers who will be at our Jr Bible Camp this week! It is a very special and important opportunity to get away and grow in the Lord.

The Kidder Creek Camp staff will be joining us this next Sunday. The Wetzig's will be hosting them at their house Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Debbie recently dislocated her shoulder and could really use some help with food prep. Please find her number in the directory and call her if you are able to help!

Berean Enjoyment
Read Mark 14:32-42. (Next week will focus on John 10)
I am going to simply put forward two main points that I heard from John's teaching on this scripture.
1) Consider the fact that based on verse 36 and the Father not providing another way, there was no other way for your sins to be covered and your salvation to be attained than for Jesus to go to the cross and die there.
Please take some time this week, even 15 minutes, to be still and picture/meditate on Jesus choosing to submit himself to the agony of death on a cross for sins he did not commit. Think about it personally for your sins and the revealing of his love for you in saving you from eternal death. Think about it for the people in our local church body. Think about it globally.

2) Based on verse 38, Luke 21:34-36, and 1 Peter 5:8-10...
What does it mean to be watching?
What is the danger of not watching?
What does it look like to be watching and prayerful in our daily lives?
What role does prayer hold in having a heart that is watching and ready to see your Savior?

May the love of Christ continue to grow in us for His glory.

In His Love,
Pastor Phillip
