Week of 11/9/25

Dear Church Family,
I got home in the early hours of this morning and I am so thankful for John's willingness to step in and preach so I could be with family. My grandmother's funeral was ultimately a time of praise and thanksgiving for a life well lived, 98 years of walking with Jesus through trials, troubles, and temptations. I was reminded that it is simply walking with Jesus in the light of His word that reaps the fruit of a faithful life in Him. There were so many lives imprinted with a tangible representation of the love and faithfulness of Christ through service and friendship through her. We sang 'Trust and Obey' at her service...
"When we walk with the Lord, in the Light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way, as we do His good will, He abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."

There is men's breakfast this Saturday(11/15) at 8am!

Whose example of faith are you actively following?

John read Galatians 5:16-24 and used it at a litmus test for whether we are living the life Christ has called us to. What similarities do you see with what we've been learning in 1 John?
What specific thing is the Lord revealing to you that is of the flesh that you need to 'put to death'(Colossians 3:5) and then trust and obey him?
