Week of 8/31/25
Dear Church Family,
I am so thankful to God for the gathering of the local Berean churches Sunday at Kidder Creek. We are just a small part of the larger Body of Christ in our area, but it was sweet to share in celebrating Jesus' life, death, and resurrection through communion and baptism! The conversations and play afterwards were also a meaningful part of being together. I pray those who came were encouraged in who Jesus is and seeing his children worship him in all these ways together!
Home Enjoyment
John Wetzig shared about our global mission and our local mission as Bible believing (Berean) churches.
Where do you see in scripture a blend of people reaching out globally and locally?
Do we have to pick one over the other? Then how do we decide whether to do something abroad or at home?
Paul spoke of 'open doors'(1 Cor. 16:8-9, Acts 14:27) and 'closed doors' (Acts 16:6). How did he know the difference? Have you ever had a time where it seemed God was closing off an opportunity with someone or a place? Opening an unexpected opportunity to share your faith with a family member or acquaintance?
You may not be going all around the country/world, but instead staying home and making Jesus known locally. How do you know where or how you are called to represent Jesus?
Read and consider 1 Peter 2:11-17, Titues 3:1-2, 1 Timothy 2:1-4, and Ephesians 6:19-20.
What do these verses look like in your home? Your work?
How does it encourage or challenge you in your faith when you see several churches gathered together?
Every time we get together in the name of Jesus it is blessed. I hope you are able to gather with us in Grenada or another local church who will encourage you in seeking life in Jesus!
In Christ,
Pastor Phillip
