Week of 5/25/25 and JR Camp Registration
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for being lovers of Jesus. That may sound funny, but when I see how so many of you seek the Lord and share about what he is teaching you, reaching out and encouraging one another or meeting each other's needs it is an encouragement to me. I reminds me of what Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:1 "Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more."
There are many who have yet to experience this within and outside of the church! So yes and amen, Jesus keep us growing in this!!
Home Enjoyment
Read 1 Samuel 22:1-5 and Psalm 57
Why was David in the cave at Adullam?
Why was he in need of God's mercy?
How does he bring his need to the Lord?
What seems to be his greatest desire coming out of the cave (and in the psalm)?
What is encouraging about the people who come to David at Adullam? What is concerning?
Do you think David was supposed to fix all their issues or determine which ones were legitimate or illegitimate? Who is responsible for knowing the hearts of man?
How was David like Jesus here? (Matthew 14:14, 11:28-30)
David was the great grandson of a Moabite woman. The Moabites were enemies of Israel and pagans. How do you see God's providence in this detail of the story?
Where in your life have you encountered unexpected 'guidance and care from God' in the details of your life? How does someone celebrate God's providence in their life?
What instruction did Gad give to David? Was this a logical thing to do?
What reasons would you suspect God had in sending David this message through Gad?
Where is God calling you to remain faithful in the face of difficulty and fears? How will you remind yourself to trust God to meet your needs, guide and care for you as you head 'back to Judah'?
JUNIOR CAMP is coming! We are less than one month away from camp, June 24-27! Here is the LINK FOR REGISTRATION and details.
With Much Love and Thanksgiving in Jesus,
Pastor Phillip
