Week of 8/24/25 and Kidder Creek Labor Day Details
Dear Church Family,
What a joy it was to be reminded of the precious gospel we cling to this last Sunday! I personally felt so uplifted and strengthened in giving the message and hearing an almost palpable 'amen' as the Holy Spirit encouraged us together of the great things that Jesus has done for us through his work on the cross!
I am looking forward to being together with some of our other brothers and sisters from Weed and Scott Valley this coming Sunday. Bring your friends, it is a great opportunity for them to see the larger church worshipping the Lord and spending time enjoying one another. There are more details below, but please be praying for our time together to be an encouragement to the Church and testimony for those who come to see what we are about - Jesus.
Home Enjoyment
There are two things that stuck out to me in a fresh way as I prepared and preached the message this last week.
1) The extent of grace given us by Jesus being our substitute. Not just anyone was standing in for us, and as a result we got more than just 'enough'. We got an abundance of the very love and life of God given to us personally through Jesus - Everything We Need!!!
2) That grace leads to our life response of following Jesus in every way we can as he matures us in knowing Him and making Him known.
With that in Mind I want to encourage you to read and meditate on the following two passages and consider: how is the extent of the grace we've been given described? And what is the response that flows from that grace?
Ephesians 2:1-10
1 John 4:7-21
Oh the wonders of God's grace to us through Jesus!

In Christ,
Pastor Phillip
