Week of 8/30/26 and Labor Day Weekend Service
Dear Church Family,
How do you deal with change? I am thinking about the change of schedule as the kids start into school again, change with the weather and things around the house/property, and a different schedule for the church and community as fall arrives. Change can be nice, but also stressful. Change can lead to miscommunication, busyness, and reveal things that you(or someone else) didn't get done in order to move forward.
For God's children, we handle change with GRACE, 1) because the God who never changes is the source of our peace and identity, 2) gives us the truth we need to reorient our lives, and 3) gives us the resources to obey him.If the changes in this current season have you stressed out (financial, relational, health, or otherwise), what are you believing about God's power and presence in your situation? In your thinking, acting, and speaking are you in any way diminishing how you see his love for you or his ability to work in your situation? Are you honestly looking to His Word and Godly brothers and sisters for the Truth that you need to reorient your life to? (i.e. - Godly spending habits, forgiveness or not reacting in anger, taking steps towards healthy living within your physical limits or trusting God as sovereign over your health, etc.) Lastly, are you obeying what you have heard?? Because when you obey in faith towards God, the Holy Spirit will provide the strength and the peace that you need! He sustains his own. He gave his Son to pay for our every failure to adapt to change in God-honoring thoughts, words, and actions. So we share that same grace with others; undeserved love and the offer of forgiveness that paves a way forward in the midst of difficult moments.

Labor Day Sunday Services (9/6)
This Sunday we will have a service out at Kidder Creek Camp at 10am. Baptism 11:30, lunch at 12:00. There will also be a service in Grenada at the Youth Room.
A few important things for Kidder Creek...
Please come a little early to park.
Bring a lawn chair.
If you need a carpool ride then please call the church office.
BBQ plates are $7/person - burger, chips, side, watermelon and drink.
For those bringing desserts, please bring them to the food area, they will have a table set up for them. If it needs to be kept cool, bring a cooler because there are no refrigerators available right now.
Activities sign-up will be before the service only for horseback riding($30). Laser tag($10) will still have sign-up opportunities through lunch before closing.
There is lots of fun to be had at the pond as well as pickleball courts, volleyball, frisbee golf or just sitting in the shade hearing about what God has done in each other's lives! We will celebrate baptisms and communion together!

Why are these things included in the statement of faith? OR Why is this so important for each believer that this is part of the statement of faith?
The Church - We believe that Christ is the Head of the Church, which is His body, established to bring God glory. All who have trusted in Christ as Savior are members of this body. Christians should commit themselves to worship, prayer, instruction, fellowship, stewardship, and service in a local church. The church is responsible to represent Jesus Christ in the world through godly living and evangelism. All believers are commanded to participate in two church ordinances: believers' baptism, by immersion if possible, and the Lord's Supper; the bread and cup symbolizing Christ’s body and blood. (Matt. 26:26-29, 28:18-20; Acts 1:8, 2:41-42, 8:35-39; Rom. 12:9-13; 1 Cor. 11:23-34, 12:12-13; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; Eph. 3:6-11, 4:11-13; Col. 1:18; Heb. 10:23-25; 1 Pet. 2:9-10)
The thief on the cross who died next to Jesus did not have time to meet with the church in Jerusalem, but he was part of it as soon as he believed in Jesus.What are some of the reservations that people have for belonging to a local church? How would you address those reservations based on the scriptures listed below the statement?
What does commitment to being on a sports team or an orchestra look like?How is that similar to the church? Dissimilar?
How do you find out how or where to serve in the church?(If you aren't sure, see the article below in resources). Does it have to be in a 'church' building? What is most important as we serve? Romans 12:4-13
What is evangelism? Do you have to be like Billy Graham? What are some everyday scenarios where you have shared your faith, or could? What does Romans 10:14-17 have to say about the importance of evangelism and the message we carry?
Why are baptism and the Lord's Supper so important? Read 1 Corinthians 11:26 and Romans 6:3-11.
